Description
Oval, foldable cover. Made of gold, outside plenty of moulded decorations in four hues of gold, inlaid diamonds, rubies, emeralds, topazes, amber, nacre and more. Depicted are sceneries with fantasy architecture and birds, at rims flowers, at stretchers, that connect the edges, fountains. Smoth gold inside. Weight: 321 g. Mark: At cover, bottom, rim: "tenant sign" R.6513, Eloi Brichard, 1756 - 1772, "tenant sign" R.6519, J.J. Prevost, 1762 - 1768, "tenant sign" R.6541, H. Clavel, 1780 - 1786, Paris, twice R.6595, sign of warranty Paris until 1846
