Description
Horizontal rectangular oven plate with a profiled frame containing the coat of arms of the Margraviate of Lower Lusatia. The shield shows the Lusatian bull turned to the right, above it a helmet with a count's crown and an eagle protome as a crest. The helmet covers as acanthus tendrils. On both sides of the coat of arms the divided date "MDCC / XVIII".
Provenance
The panel probably comes from the Ständehaus in Lübben, which was completed in 1717. Formerly the Lübben local history museum. The collection was probably transferred to an inner-city relocation site in 1945. Probably lost during the war in 1945.
