Description
In front of a magnificent building decorated with columns sits a man wrapped in a red cloak on a chair. Behind him 2 warriors with helmet and breastplate. In front of him a standing woman, in a blue robe, over which a red cloak is thrown. Next to and behind her a group of people, a woman of which bends over a box filled with clothes.
Provenance
The paintings of the Bückeburg Gallery were lost during the occupation from 1945 to 1951 (see also: Verlorene Werke der Malerei, 1965, pages 78-79.)
